Integrating Computer Science in Elementary Classrooms--Learn how to effectively integrate lessons that teach computational thinking skills into your elementary classroom. Explore high interest, plugged and unplugged activities that can support and enhance content in multiple subject areas. This workshop requires participants to have basic knowledge of Code.org, Scratch, or another coding tool appropriate for young children will combine synchronous sessions, independent work and small group collaborations. 1.0 CPD credit --15 hours total. Monday-Thursday August 3-6.

The Maryland Center for Computer Education (MCCE) and Maryland Codes are offering a series of engaging computer science professional development virtual workshops this summer. 

Workshops include CS Principles, CS Discoveries, CS Fundamentals, CS Principles Updates, JAVA, Python, Scratch, Artificial Intelligence and more!

The workshops will be held from June through August 2020.  Please note that dates and times have changed to accommodate the transition to virtual teaching 

Applications are being accepted on a rolling basis.  Scholarships and funding are available.  Please contact your district lead for more on eligibility.
